JEEPS
Day 1 (September 13, 2007) |
The
players run extreme cop4x4 is in the house. I shipped the
jeep to Seattle and meet up with 3 lambos and a Mercedes
DTM for out trip over to Calgary. Had 5 of Alberta’s
finest hold us up for an hour on so, the guys were cool though,
just had a few complaints of speeding. Day one was a trip
from Calgary to big sky Montana. Went through glacier national
park, along a 90 mile lake, and through some of the most
scenic stretches of road I have ever seen. Great day. Jeep
runs like a champ. Top speed around 110mph, but after about
85 mph its lack of aero dynamics takes over, so we have stayed
around 75-80. Nice safe speed, no tickets.
Tomorrow we go
to salt lake.

Day 2 (September 14, 2007) |
Day
2 started out in big sky Montana. We went through Yellow
Stone National Park and picked up our playing card at old
faithful. Then we worked our way down to Salt Lake
City. We had a long drive today. The jeep is pulling extremely
strong, and I continue to be impressed with the power.

Day 3 (September 15, 2007) |
Day
3 started out in Salt Lake City. We blasted our way to Vegas
motor speedway where we did hot laps on the oval in Indy
cars. I came in second with a top average lap speed of 148.04
mph. The fastest lap speed was 149.07 then we did the VIP
thing at Cezar’s, and back to the Wynn for a few hours
sleep. I was able to get the jeep out on the start/ finish
line of the speedway for a few photos. Great day.

Day 4 (September 16, 2007) |
Day
4 was a quick to the Wynn Hotel in Vegas. No pics today for
we blasted into the hotel, changed clothes, and out we went.
One of my friends won big at a casino. We went to Czars with
a friend and his wife and several others, did the VIP thing
at the prime nightclub, stopped by another club, and retired
around 3am. After 4 hours sleep, it's off to Los Angeles. |
Day 5 (September 17, 2007) |
Day 5. We traveled to the Rand Children's Hospital and delivered a ton of gifts for the kids. This was a wonderful experience for all of us, but for the grace of god those are our faces and our children working through illnesses. We stayed for well over an hour until the last child that was able to come outside came outside. Then we had a short trip over to San Diego. There we partied all afternoon. Then we had our farewell banquette, where The COP4X4 Players Run Extreme Race Day jeep won PLAYERS RUN BEST CAR 2007. I was honored to have won that award all things considered, and graciously accepted. Then the party started again. We said good by to some old friends, and some new ones. We are now back in Phoenix, back to the grind, but with memories of another Players Run, our 3rd. We are looking forward to our fourth one, and already have started our design, maybe next year a 08 Rubicon four door long travel, LS7? We Shall See.
